SUMMER 2018 REVIEW

A season that blends seamlessly with a perfect winter 2017.2018 and an unforgettable summer 2018. Because this summer was even for Saalbach very special and enjoyable. Let's start a little time travel to the mountain spring.

At the beginning of April, the snow is dusting on perfectly groomed slopes under the edges of the skis. "Grippy" slope conditions, sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Skiing in the sunshine at its best - unforgettable. But the foresight of a long spring with undecided weather capers somewhat clouded the chronological perspective. Slush, a lot of rain, ...

But things turned out differently: extremely warm temperatures, sunshine and ideal wind and weather conditions made the snow disappear from the scene in record time. This pace was like a natural spectacle. As announced, a few weeks later, the guests cycled down the trails with the bike, enjoyed high-altitude hikes and experienced summery mountain panoramas in full bloom.

SUMMER WEATHER

And now we come to the actual phenomenon. Because here in the mountains you are used to everything except enduring sunshine. The sun was fine with us and kept constant in the summer sky. High temperatures paired with the fresh mountain air gave a dreamlike composition to experience the mountains with all amenities.

In contrast to most cities, the air here in Saalbach was able to cool overnight and guaranteed restful sleep hours. Wherever the heat became torture elsewhere, the heat was perfect for this geographic area.

EVENTS IN SUMMER

As usual, the biker Mania made the start into the summer. Cool motorcycles and great mood excited participants and visitors to this event.

In July, at the MINI Cooper gathering, the cult cars crusade for the best view on the Großglockner, at the GlemmRide the best freestylers jumped on their mountain bikes and the legendary Lake Of Charity was once again accompanied by a nice atmosphere for a good cause. Eventful July, one could say.
In August, the Bauernmarkt was on the program. The Bauernmarkt is basically the unofficial village festival of Saalbach.
After the Bauernmarkt - despite hot temperatures - the summer season is approaching autumn.
With the World Games of Mountainbiking, the valley is finally dipped in golden colors.
In between there were always nice events at the eva,ALM - the eva,ALM Summer Vibes for example.

And so we deeply bow to this wonderful, eventful and certainly unforgettable summer of 2018. May many summers like this follow!
