Skicircus challenge: the biggest skiing lap in the Alps

12.000 metres elevation gain, 68 kilometers of pistes, 7 hours skiing enjoyment sound great. The “Big Lap” as the locals say is as old as the Skicircus by itself. The uniqueness of this challenge is the sporting dare of a circumnavigation of the whole Skicircus. Let’s be honest, the mastery of 270 kilometres of pistes in the complete Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is nearly impossible in the time of one day.

The Skicircus challenge starts at every entry you want, but we prefer the nearest ski-lift, the Bernkogelbahn just 50 m off the eva,VILLAGE. We like short walks and long days in the snow. A bunch of huts and alpine restaurants strengthen in a culinary way in this challenge. Epic views are your companion anyway.  

For this challenge you need endurance and strength, you know, 12.000 metres elevation gain and 68 kilometres are quite far for one day in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. With these distance this Skicircus challenge dethrones the biggest skiing laps in the Alps: “Sellaronda”, “Weißer Ring” or the “Königstour”.  

You should arrange enough time, cause the challenge lasts at least seven hours to manage the distance. Don’t worry, a stop at the casual huts is possible if time permits, but you should plan your sunbath session for the next day. Because you have to catch unbelievable 32 lifts between Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn, it’s better to step on the gas!
