A merry parade of hats!
The merry parade of hats has become a bit of a tradition over the years. After all, we covered our heads with colourful fabrics last year, and the year before, and the year before that one...
Our 4-star superior hotel in the heart of Saalbach, in the centre of Austria's largest ski resort, invited everyone to its merry carnival party on Tuesday evening. The children started working on their perfect outfit in the afternoon under the watchful eyes of Maria, our in-house children's entertainer. Grinning faces and shining eyes all round...
Later at night, the eva,VILLAGE was transformed into a cool carnival party. Remo, the live band with a penchant for raucous parties, provided the soundtrack for wild dancing.
The "hat-less" among us were offered an opportunity to borrow suitable equipment at the reception desk. Nobody should feel left out on a night like this.
As in previous years, the evening developed splendidly: a lively atmosphere, smiling faces, and a dancefloor that was well and truly put through its paces.
As befits Shrove Tuesday, we set up a late night herring buffet - the perfect supper for a carnival evening. The carnival fete continued until the early morning hours, when the last party animals crawled under the warm blankets in the modern rooms.
Thick snowflakes awoke the masters of disguise on the next day. In the breakfast area, we had once again prepared a herring buffet - the best hangover cure in the aftermath of the night before. Also, it tastes great! Let's not forget that this is, after all, a winter holiday in the Austrian mountains!
Now we would like to tip our hat to this lovely evening and we are already looking forward to an entertaining repeat event in 2017!
