PORSCHE IN THE MOUNTAINS
Porsche cars and the Alps fit perfectly together. That’s not only because of the epic mountain roads in the region of Saalbach.
Family Porsche is deeply ingrained in the Pinzgau of Salzburg. A few properties including the Ferry Porsche Congress Center and the Porsche Design Studio in Zell am See belongs to family Porsche. No wonder, that fans of this sportive vehicle want to visit the region for an exclusive convention. Fast curves in the mountains and nice parties in the evening - sounds perfect, a weekend in the eva,VILLAGE.
The Porsche-Club Kurpfalz enjoyed a weekend in the Alps of Saalbach with unforgettable jaunts and culinary delights. The cars were farraginous - Oldtimer and modern super-sporty PS monsters enjoyed the streets of Salzburg jointly. After the arrival at Saturday, the eva,VILLAGE asked out for a dinner. Regional delicacies were served - our chef tried to indulge the taste buds of the horsepower fans with alpine dishes. An extensive program awaited the Motor-Club from Germany on Sunday.
More than 25 Porsche headed on Sunday up the Großglockner, Austria’s highest mountain a few kilometers away from the eva,VILLAGE. The convoy enjoyed the myriad curves at the road up to the top of the mountain. A few moments later the group of Porsche cars arrived at the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe on 2.369 meters in altitude. At the panoramic restaurant the group enjoyed Strudel and epic views - gorgeous. After that memorable moments we entered the museum above there with an exhibition about glaciers in the Alps.
Growling stomachs and roaring motors don’t fit together, thus the convoy headed towards the Zeller See, more precisely to the mansion “Schloss Prielau”. This mansion also belongs to the family Porsche - the ideal goal for Porsche enthusiasts.
Stefan Mayer is a (Michelin-)starred chef and host in the Schloss Prielau. A lunch break with extraordinary delicacies - sounds pretty good. After snug hours with Stefan and his wife Annette the group drove back to Saalbach - eva,VILLAGE was calling.
The past is witness, eva,VILLAGE and parties fit perfectly. Especially the eva,ALM is quaint place for celebrations and thus the eva,ALM was the location for the Porsche party in the evening. Wanton mood and live music made that evening unforgettable for all participants of the convention in Saalbach. On Sunday we all celebrated life until wee hours.
A weekend full of “lässig” in the eva,VILLAGE came to an end. We are looking forward to a recurrence.
